The police chief informs Laurent that he will no longer maintain close surveillance on the Cheval-Serpent, now that he understands the underlying motives. However, Margaret refuses to let the matter drop. Mustang, the club's most popular dancer, wants to leave to care for his mother, who suffers from Alzheimer's disease. Can he be convinced to stay? Simone throws herself wholeheartedly into this mission. Laurent is urgently summoned to the hospital, where Anne's condition is causing grave concern. Dominique encourages Dorice, who's frustrated with their dry spell, to seek sexual satisfaction elsewhere, as she's no longer able to provide it.
