The unexpectedly early death of a ten-year-old boy who suffered from a serious hereditary disease causes Vera Lanz a headache. When the investigation revealed that the boy had taken part in a series of drug tests and that important tissue samples had disappeared from the forensic department after his death, the alarm bells rang for the inspector.
