He kicks off his visit at Guerilla Street Food, which serves up Filipino cuisine with a Midwest riff. Street-style pork is served with calamansi sauce and a poached egg, and fried chicken finds the perfect blend of sweet, salty and tangy. Next up is an old-school diner called The Fountain on Locust, where Jordan gets a taste of classic comfort foods and delectable desserts. A new take on chicken pot pie brings Moroccan flavors front and center, but the dish that takes the cake is the Sundae Gambler -- a pineapple upside-down sundae with bourbon butterscotch and bananas flambe.
