Travel to Thessaly, from the Meteora monasteries to Mount Pelion, homeland of the Centaurs, and to Olympus. Olympus, the highest point in Greece known to be the haven of peace for the ancient gods, is located in Thessaly. The journey begins by taking a tumultuous river, popular with kayakers, towards Meteora and their famous monasteries, erected in the Middle Ages on very steep sites. The journey continues to the cave of a former hermit, and with the discovery of Mount Pelion, homeland of the Centaurs. The gods would have rested there after their stay on Olympus.
