Pitch Meeting - Season 5 - Episode 44 - James Bond: Skyfall Pitch Meeting
Daniel Craig redefined the James Bond franchise with Casino Royale in 2006, but the follow-up movie, Quantum of Solace, wasn’t received as well critically or commercially. So with Craig’s third turn as 007, they had to kick things up a notch from Quantum’s storyline about taking control of… a lake?
Skyfall definitely raises some questions though. Like how did James Bond survive that super deadly opening sequence where he definitely should have died? Why would Q plug an expert enemy hacker’s computer directly into the super secret spy computer system? How did Silva know Q would do that? In fact, how did Silva plan that entire escape? And what kind of a survival plan is going to an old house with no weapons and then purposefully luring a supervillain over?
