Come Dine with Me Canada - Season 4 - Episode 45 - Block 9: John Riche
It's the last night of a week-long dinner party challenge in Newfoundland and Labrador. Mr. Know-it-all John Riche has patiently waited his turn in the kitchen. Joining him around the table are cabaret cutie Krista Hynes, flighty cat-lady Bev Pike, bad boy bay man Dave Lush and quirky old soul Rebecca Puddester.
Wanting to impress his guests John creates not one but three soups for his appetizer-crab and lobster tomato bisque, briny cod chowder and cream of asparagus, leek and turnip top soup. To keep the night moving John serves his main course with confidence-lemon and oregano grilled Newfoundland lamb with tabbouleh, rosemary roasted potatoes and Greek salad. Ending on a dirty high John plates and serves his evening-chocolate mud cake with raspberry coulis and vanilla bean ice cream.
Will John impress his guests with his cooking know how? Or will his false confidence get the better of him?
